Do you feel that heaven’s door appears too strong that you cannot push through?
Are you vexed at the lack of response to your prayers?
Do you think that God has some favourite children and He listens to them only?
Do you say that your prayers can never be answered?
Don’t think that the days of miracles are past! Be of good cheer! Keep knocking! Keep asking! Keep on seeking His face! Whosoever asks receives; whosoever seeks finds. He opens to him who knocks. There is no change in this. ”Faint not, rise up. Strengthen the hands which hang down and make straight paths for your feet” (Hebrews 12:12).
Prayer is not just to talk, WE EQUALLY LIVE OUT PRAYER. Prayer is a lifestyle. We are not supposed to just talk it, we are to act it.
After you pray Ô LORD MAKE ME A KING, go out there and act as a king. After you pray, O Lord make a blessing, go out there and be a blessing to many. You can continue citing them...
Once a woman of Canaan cried unto Jesus for her daughter who was grievously vexed with a demon. She went after Him. Jesus kept walking without a word. She kept on following Him. The disciples besought the Lord to send her away. Jesus replied harshly. He said that He had come for the Israelites and not for the Gentiles. Did she give up grieved at this reply? No. She fell at His feet, It seems that the Lord wanted to test her.
He said, ”It is not right to take the children’s bread and cast it to the dogs”. He told her sharply that the Israelites are children and the Gentiles are dogs. Was the mother dismayed? No, she bowed and worshipped Him saying, ”True, Lord; yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table”. Jesus could not contain Himself any more. "Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” (Matthew 15:28).
Have you seen the victory of that persistent prayer? If those who are considered as dogs could find answers to their prayers, how much more will it be with those who sit at the table with HIM? Can we afford to faint? Hell nooooo! You are bigger than that challenge
Pursue the Lord like Elisha. Run after Jesus until you receive the double portion of blessing. It might appear as though the Lord intentionally does not respond. It might even look like He is not willing to give. Do not stop. Think of Elisha who followed Elijah. He followed him from Gilgal to Bethel, from Bethel to Jericho and then from Jericho to Jordan. He did not heed the words of Elijah asking him to stop. The frightening words of the other prophets did not shake his determination either. Finally God honoured him. This is the secret of persistent prayer.
At times Satan also might block the answers to our prayers. Daniel prayed for his country and God answered that very day. But Satan fought against the angel who brought the answer twenty-one days. See how persistent Daniel was in praying all these 21 days. And finally the angel came with an answer. Does Satan delay the answers to your prayers? Don’t give in to the devil. YOUR CAUSE IS JUST. Pray like the widow who wanted to be avenged of her adversary. You will succeed. Hallelujah!
Remember, many days of mourning will bring joy. Notice the challenge of Jesus in Luke 18:6-8 _”Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.”_ Yes, faith never concedes defeat. It pursues. Will you rise up in faith?
