The Cross: The Only Way To Divine Glory / La Croix : Le Seul Chemin Vers La Gloire Divine

 

John 12:23‭-‬24:

"But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain."

Jesus used a powerful illustration to show us how one must enter glory through death. When a grain is sown into the ground, it comes in contact with the earth. It experiences the pressure of the ground and the heat of the sun. It is also beaten by the rain. Thereafter, there is moisture and the grain assumes a state of temporal death. It is after all this process that a new life springs forth from the ground. There is germination and the grain is alive again in a different form. But this time around, the grain is looking forward to produce other grains, that is to give life. Praise the Lord. 

So it was with Jesus Christ, He had to die on the cross, be buried in the grave and be kept in there and rise on the third day to be the Saviour of the world. It was a shameful and painful experience that led to His glorification. That is what He meant by the hour has come for the Son of man to be glorified.

Beloved, when you begin to face innumerable pressures, you are like under the heat, when various attacks comes your way and you feel that you are not making any progress, just rest assured, glory is coming soon. The way to glory is death. The way to the crown is the cross. The way to gain, is the pain. 

At such moments of trials, pains and thorns, don't give up, because this sentence is true, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 16:24‭-‬25)

You must accept to lose your life for Christ's sake. Give up your personal ambitions. You must go though the cross, receive a crown of thorns, be misjudged and criticize, you must experience the pain so that you will appreciate the glory, the gain and the lifting.

Just as Christ suffered for our sake, we should be ready to suffer for His sake. The cross is the only divine way to glory and honour.

"Mais Jésus leur répondit, en disant: "L'heure est venue où le Fils de l'homme doit être glorifié. En vérité, je vous le dis, à moins qu'un grain de blé ne tombe par terre et meurt, il reste seul ; mais s'il meurt, il produit beaucoup de grain."

Jésus a utilisé une illustration puissante pour nous montrer comment il faut entrer dans la gloire par la mort. Lorsqu'un grain est semé dans le sol, il entre en contact avec la terre. Il subit la pression du sol et la chaleur du soleil. Il est également battu par la pluie. Par la suite, il y a de l'humidité et le grain est dans un état de mort temporelle. C'est après tout ce processus qu'une nouvelle vie jaillit du sol. Il y a germination et le grain revit sous une forme différente. Mais cette fois-ci, le grain espère avec impatience de produire d'autres grains, c'est-à-dire de donner la vie. Louez le Seigneur. 

Ainsi en était-il de Jésus-Christ, Il devait mourir sur la croix, être enseveli dans la tombe et y être gardé et ressusciter le troisième jour pour être le Sauveur du monde. Ce fut une expérience honteuse et douloureuse qui a conduit à sa glorification. C'est ce qu'Il voulait dire par l'heure est venue pour que le Fils de l'homme soit glorifié. 

Bien-aimés, lorsque vous commencez à faire face à d'innombrables pressions, vous êtes comme sous le feu, lorsque diverses attaques se présentent à vous et que vous sentez que vous ne faites aucun progrès, rassurez-vous, la gloire est pour bientôt. Le chemin de la gloire, c'est la mort. Le chemin de la couronne c'est la croix. Le moyen de gagner, c'est la douleur. Dans de tels moments d'épreuves, de douleurs et d'épines, n'abandonnez pas, car cette phrase est vraie, "Alors Jésus dit à ses disciples : " Si quelqu'un veut venir après moi, qu'il renonce à lui-même et qu'il prenne sa croix , et me suive. Car celui qui voudra sauver sa vie la perdra, mais celui qui perdra sa vie à cause de moi la trouvera." (Matthieu 16:24-25) 

Vous devez accepter de perdre votre vie pour l'amour du Christ. Abandonnez vos ambitions personnelles. Vous devez expérimenter la croix, recevoir une couronne d'épines, être mal jugé et critiquer, vous devez éprouver la douleur afin d'apprécier la gloire, le gain et l'élévation. Tout comme Christ a souffert pour nous, nous devons être prêts à souffrir pour lui. La croix est le seul chemin vers la gloire divine et l'honneur. Que ce Vendredi Saint produise un poids éternel de gloire dans votre vie. Shalom !
