The New Creation Man Has a Special Enablement to Witness / L'homme de la nouvelle création a une capacité spéciale à témoigner

Acts 1:8 

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Christian faith or message is based on the truth that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. The disciples were witnesses of this truth and they were charged with the mission to carry this news to the world. After three years and half of training, Jesus asked them to wait until they are empowered with the Holy Spirit. "And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:48‭-‬49). Praise the Lord!

Beloved, the power of the Holy Spirit was not an option buy a necessity for the mission they had just received. We do not need less power today. We need the same dimension of even more. 

Jesus made is clear that it is when they receive that power through the Holy Spirit that they will be effective witnesses of His resurrection. And we see clearly that, they witness in the power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 4:33 reveal that, "And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all."

They gave witness to the resurrection with great power. Hallelujah!

There are different beliefs as to when and how we are baptized with or in the Holy Spirit. 

1. Some are for the fact that once we receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). 

2. Others think that we must seek another experience of the Holy Spirit after conversion which will lead to speaking in tongues as a confirmation that we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit. 

3. Another group also adds that, even after being baptized in the Holy Spirit, we can again be filled or empowered by the Holy Spirit, looking at Acts 4: 31, "And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."

One thing that stands out clear is that, those who are filled with the Holy Spirit or baptized with/in the Holy Spirit, proclaim the Word with boldness and evidence of power. That power is at work in every believer as Paul makes it clear in Ephesians 1: 19-21. There is an exceedingly great power at work in you. The new creation man or woman is empowered with a supernatural power to witness to the world. It is not just by proclamation of the word, but by our lifestyles and our works.

There is an anointing, an aroma or a fragrance that is around a true believer. It witnesses to the world. Seek the infilling of the Holy Spirit to keep that aroma spreading.

"Mais vous recevrez une puissance lorsque le Saint-Esprit descendra sur vous, et vous serez mes témoins à Jérusalem, et dans toute la Judée et la Samarie, et jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre."

La foi ou le message chrétien est basé sur la vérité que Jésus-Christ est ressuscité des morts. Les disciples ont été témoins de cette vérité et ils ont été chargés de la mission de porter cette nouvelle au monde. Après trois ans et demi de formation, Jésus leur a demandé d'attendre jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient investis du Saint-Esprit. "Et vous êtes témoins de ces choses. Voici, j'envoie sur vous la promesse de mon Père; mais demeurez dans la ville de Jérusalem jusqu'à ce que vous soyez revêtus de la puissance d'en haut" (Luc 24:48-49) . Louez le Seigneur ! 

Bien-aimés, la puissance du Saint-Esprit n'était pas une option mais une nécessité pour la mission qu'ils venaient de recevoir. Nous n'avons pas besoin de moins de puissance aujourd'hui. Nous avons besoin de la même dimension et même d'encore plus. Jésus a fait comprendre que c'est lorsqu'ils recevront cette puissance par le Saint-Esprit qu'ils seront des témoins efficaces de sa résurrection. Et nous voyons clairement cela, ils témoignaient dans la puissance du Saint-Esprit. Actes 4:33 révèle que "Et avec une grande puissance les apôtres rendirent témoignage de la résurrection du Seigneur Jésus. Et une grande grâce reposa sur eux tous." Ils ont témoigné de la résurrection avec une grande puissance. Alléluia! 

Il existe différentes croyances quant au moment et à la manière dont nous sommes baptisés avec ou dans le Saint-Esprit. 

1. Certains sont pour le fait qu'une fois que nous recevons Jésus-Christ comme notre Seigneur et Sauveur, nous recevons le baptême du Saint-Esprit (Ephésiens 1:13-14). 

2. D'autres pensent que nous devons rechercher une autre expérience du Saint-Esprit après la conversion qui conduira au parler en langues comme confirmation que nous avons été baptisés dans le Saint-Esprit. 

3. Un autre groupe ajoute également que, même après avoir été baptisés dans le Saint-Esprit, nous pouvons à nouveau être remplis ou renforcés par le Saint-Esprit, en regardant Actes 4 : 31, "Et quand ils eurent prié, le lieu où ils étaient assemblés ensemble furent ébranlés, et ils furent tous remplis du Saint-Esprit, et ils annoncèrent la parole de Dieu avec assurance."

Une chose qui ressort clairement est que ceux qui sont remplis du Saint-Esprit ou baptisés avec/dans le Saint-Esprit, proclament la Parole avec audace et preuve de puissance. Cette puissance est à l'œuvre dans chaque croyant, comme Paul le dit clairement dans Éphésiens 1 : 19-21. Il y a une puissance extrêmement grande à l'œuvre en vous. L'homme ou la femme de la nouvelle création est doté d'un pouvoir surnaturel pour témoigner au monde. Ce n'est pas seulement par la proclamation de la parole, mais par nos modes de vie et nos œuvres. Il y a une onction, un arôme ou un parfum qui entoure un vrai croyant. Il témoigne au monde. Recherchez être remplis du Saint-Esprit pour continuer à répandre cet arôme. Alléluia!
