Biblical Significance of Jesus' Ascension, Part Three / Signification biblique de l'Ascension de Jésus, Troisième Partie

 

Matthew 28:19-20

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations... teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen."

The second ascension of Jesus Christ also marks the transfer of the redemption ministry of Jesus Christ to the church. For three and half years Jesus trained twelve men who had to take over His ministry. After the ascension, Jesus was not longer physically present with the church, but He is spiritually present. The Church is His body; He is the head. He promised to be with His disciples wherever they go (Matthew 28:20). More again when two or three gather in His name (Matthew 18:20). 

So, friend do not be afraid, you are not alone. Jesus Christ is with you always. You are not helpless. You can talk to Jesus in your spirit. Jesus said to His disciples about the Holy Spirit, He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you (John 14:17). 

The ministry of the Holy Spirit in and through the church are indispensable for the completion of the Great Commission, (Acts 1: 8).

There are many divisions today created based on people’s interpretation and application of the Ministry and person of the Holy Spirit. 

There are those who do not believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, the Jehovah Witnesses. 

There are those who believe that the Holy Spirit that was promised is their prophet, the Muslims. 

When it comes to the church, there are two great branches: 

Those who emphasize the Holy Spirit and neglect the need for preparation before ministry. 

Then there are those who emphasize the Word, Books and certificates and they keep the Spirit aside. 

Which group is right? Both are important in ministry; without the Holy Spirit, every preaching or teaching is simply a lecture. Also, without the principles and the light of the word, there will be anarchy in the church. Someone said, "Anointing without the word will lead to annoyance."

Both emphases are needed for the ministry of the church and the completion of the Great Commission. Sharing the word and doing ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit. 

How do we activate the power of the Holy Spirit? There are Spirit disciplines such as prayer, fasting, Bible Study that activates the power of the Holy Spirit. 

After three years of theology and doctrines with field work, Jesus asked the disciples to wait. They needed the Power of the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit. Our theology and doctrines are empty if they do not produce the life of the Kingdom through the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is necessary. We are no longer waiting like the first disciples; the Holy Spirit is here. Seek to be filled. Ask God to baptize you and fill you with the Holy Spirit.

Allez donc, faites de toutes les nations des disciples... enseignez-leur à observer tout ce que je vous ai prescrit; et voici, je suis toujours avec vous, même jusqu'à la fin des temps. Amen.

La deuxième ascension de Jésus-Christ marque également le transfert du ministère de rédemption de Jésus-Christ à l'église. Pendant trois ans et demi, Jésus a formé douze hommes qui devaient continuer son ministère. Après l'ascension, Jésus n'était plus physiquement présent avec l'église, mais il est spirituellement présent. L'Église est son corps; Il est le chef. Il a promis d'être avec ses disciples partout où ils iraient (Matthieu 28:20). Encore plus quand deux ou trois se rassemblent en Son nom (Matthieu 18 :20). Alors, mon ami, n'aie pas peur, tu n'es pas seul. Jésus-Christ est toujours avec vous. Tu n'es pas impuissant. Tu peux parler à Jésus dans ton esprit. 

Jésus a dit à ses disciples au sujet du Saint-Esprit : Il est le Saint-Esprit, qui conduit dans toute la vérité. Le monde ne peut pas le recevoir, car il ne le cherche pas et ne le reconnaît pas. Mais vous le connaissez, parce qu'il vit maintenant avec vous et plus tard sera en vous (Jean 14:17). Le ministère du Saint-Esprit dans et à travers l'église est indispensable pour l'accomplissement de la Grande Commission (Actes 1 : 8). 

Il existe aujourd'hui de nombreuses divisions créées sur la base de l'interprétation et de l'application par les gens du ministère et de la personne du Saint-Esprit. Il y a ceux qui ne croient pas que le Saint-Esprit est une personne, les Témoins de Jéhovah. Il y a ceux qui croient que le Saint-Esprit qui a été promis est leur prophète, les musulmans. En ce qui concerne l'église, il y a deux grandes branches : Ceux qui mettent l'accent sur le Saint-Esprit et négligent le besoin de préparation avant le ministère. Ensuite, il y a ceux qui mettent l'accent sur la Parole, les Livres et les certificats et ils gardent l'Esprit de côté. Quel groupe a raison ? Les deux sont importants dans le ministère; sans le Saint-Esprit, chaque prédication ou enseignement n'est qu'une lecture. Aussi, sans les principes et la lumière de la parole, il y aura de l'anarchie dans l'église. Quelqu'un a dit : "L'onction sans la parole conduira à l'agacement." Les deux accents sont nécessaires pour le ministère de l'église et l'achèvement de la Grande Commission. Partager la parole et exercer le ministère dans la puissance du Saint-Esprit. Comment activons-nous la puissance du Saint-Esprit ? Il existe des disciplines spirituelles telles que la prière, le jeûne, l'étude biblique qui activent la puissance du Saint-Esprit. 

Après trois ans de théologie et de doctrines avec des stages pratiques, Jésus a demandé aux disciples d'attendre. Ils avaient besoin de la puissance du Saint-Esprit. Nous avons besoin du Saint-Esprit. Notre théologie et nos doctrines sont vaines si elles ne produisent pas la vie du Royaume par le Saint-Esprit. Le baptême du Saint-Esprit est nécessaire. Nous n'attendons plus comme les premiers disciples ; le Saint-Esprit est ici. Chercher à être comblé. Demandez à Dieu de vous baptiser et de vous remplir du Saint-Esprit. Gloire à Dieu!
