Matthew 24: 35
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."
What did Jesus mean when He said, "Heaven and earth will pass away." The earth has been in place since creation. Genesis 1:1, reveals that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." The heavens and earth have a reputation to have been here for a very long time. God has been sustaining and upholding all things including the earth, other planets and the stars through the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). But Jesus told the disciples that one day, heaven and earth will pass away; that is, will disappear. There is coming greater tribulations as we see in Matthew 24; and "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken."
(Matthew 24:29)
God promised in Haggai to shake the heavens and the earth, (Haggai 2: 6).
There are lots of shaking in the world today. Look around you, listen to the news. All these are the beginning of sorrows and the preparation towards the end of this present world.
The Bible makes it clear that there is going to be a time that the earth will be so pressed and there will be no other way out. (Malachi 4: 1-3; 1 Timothy 4: 2 Timothy 3). We are living that time right now. There are tensions, crises, frictions, financial problems, wars, social problems, famine, spiritual problems, religious problems, emotional problems, name it. That is the world in which we are living today. People are pressed here and there and there seem to be no way out. Men are growing worst in their character and dealings.
Jesus declared when talking about the end time, our time, “Heaven and earth will pass away.” Are you conscious of this?
Peter is of the same opinion that the earth will be destroyed. He wrote, "But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed, and the earth with everything in it will vanish." (2 Peter 3:10). Can you grasp that? All that we see on earth, the inventions, constructions, and sophisticated installations will melt away. And a new heaven and a new earth will come down from the presence of God.
How should we live then? Peter has and answer: "Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God, as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon—the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat. But we wait for what God has promised: new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will be at home."
(2 Peter 3:11-13). Our greatest hope is not in this present world, it will pass away. Hope in the Lord. Wishing you all a great week.

"Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais Mes paroles ne passeront en aucun cas."
Qu'est-ce que Jésus voulait dire quand il a dit : "Le ciel et la terre passeront." La terre est en place depuis la création. Genèse 1:1 révèle que "Au commencement, Dieu créa les cieux et la terre." Les cieux et la terre ont la réputation d'être ici depuis très longtemps. Dieu a soutenu et maintient toutes choses, y compris la terre, les autres planètes et les étoiles par la parole de sa puissance (Hébreux 1 : 3). Mais Jésus a dit aux disciples qu'un jour, le ciel et la terre passeront ; c'est-à-dire va disparaître. Il y a une plus grandes tribulations à venir comme nous le voyons dans Matthieu 24 ; et "Immédiatement après la tribulation de ces jours-là, le soleil s'obscurcira, et la lune ne donnera plus sa lumière; les étoiles tomberont du ciel, et les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées." (Matthieu 24:29)
Dieu a promis dans Aggée d'ébranler les cieux et la terre, (Aggée 2 : 6). Il y a beaucoup de secousses dans le monde aujourd'hui. Regardez autour de vous, écoutez les nouvelles. Tout cela est le début des douleurs et la préparation vers la fin de ce monde actuel. La Bible dit clairement qu'il y aura un temps où la terre sera si pressée et qu'il n'y aura pas d'autre issue. (Malachie 4 : 1-3 ; 1 Timothée 4 : 2 Timothée 3). Nous vivons cette époque en ce moment. Il y a des tensions, des crises, des frictions, des problèmes financiers, des guerres, des problèmes sociaux, la famine, des problèmes spirituels, des problèmes religieux, des problèmes émotionnels, etc. C'est le monde dans lequel nous vivons aujourd'hui. Les gens sont pressés ici et là et il semble qu'il n'y ait pas d'issue. Les hommes sont de plus en plus mauvais dans leur caractère et leurs relations. Jésus a déclaré en parlant de la fin des temps, notre temps, “Le ciel et la terre passeront.” En êtes-vous conscient?
Pierre est du même avis que la terre sera détruite. Il a écrit : "Mais le jour du Seigneur viendra comme un voleur. Ce jour-là, les cieux disparaîtront avec un bruit strident, les corps célestes brûleront et seront détruits, et la terre avec tout ce qu'elle contient disparaîtra." (2 Pierre 3:10). Pouvez-vous comprendre cela? Tout ce que nous voyons sur terre, les inventions, les constructions et les installations sophistiquées vont fondre. Et un nouveau ciel et une nouvelle terre descendront de la présence de Dieu.
Comment devrions-nous vivre alors ? Pierre répond: "Puisque toutes ces choses seront détruites de cette manière, quel genre de personnes devriez-vous être? Vos vies devraient être saintes et consacrées à Dieu, alors que vous attendez le Jour de Dieu et faites de votre mieux pour qu'il vienne bientôt - le jour où les cieux s'embraseront et seront détruits, et les corps célestes seront fondus par la chaleur. Mais nous attendons ce que Dieu a promis : de nouveaux cieux et une nouvelle terre, où la justice sera chez elle." (2 Pierre 3:11-13). Notre plus grand espoir n'est pas dans ce monde actuel, il passera. Espère dans le Seigneur. Je vous souhaite une excellente semaine.
