Understand and Operate the Anointing Of God Upon your Life, Part One. / Comprendre et opérer l'onction de Dieu sur votre vie, Première partie.

 

1 John 2: 20, 27a

"But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you."

When we talk about the anointing, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? To many people, anointing means power to cause people to fall down during prayers. Others will think of a charismatic and eloquent speaker. Yes, the anointing of God on someone can manifest in people falling during prayers; it can manifest in an eloquent and charismatic preaching, but the anointing is much more than that. 

The anointing is a divine endowment and influence that God places on someone to enable him or her to do the work of Christian ministry (Acts 1:8). It is actually the strong presence of God on someone that manifests God's power and virtues in diverse acts and spiritual gifts for service in God's kingdom. 

The anointing is also the agent of the powerful effect and manifestation of Holy Spirit on a person. Every believer has the Holy Spirit, but it is not automatic that every believer manifests the anointing. You can look around you and agree with me. See the difference in the following two verses. Luke 4: 1, 14 "Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness... 14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region." (Luke 4:1‭, ‬14) 

Between verse 4 and verse 14, there was a wilderness experience of prayer, fasting and temptation. When Jesus returned from the wilderness, the difference was clear. He returned in the power of the Holy Spirit. That is the anointing. You can see the effects in the verses that follows and the rest of His ministry. 

The anointing for Kingdom service comes from God and one of its primary manifestation is to teach believers what is right, leading them into the truth. First, it helps the believer to discern what is true from what is wrong. In John 2, 20 and 27, we are told: But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

So, anyone who claims to be anointed because he preaches so eloquently, yet operate in falsehood, doesn't have the true anointing of God. The effects of the true anointing of God is to lead its carriers to understand the word and operate in its truth. 

When Jesus was promising the Holy Spirit, He said, “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 14:25‭-‬26). The anointing teaches and guided in the truth. We shall see other effects tomorrow.

"Mais vous avez une onction du Saint, et vous savez toutes choses... Mais l'onction que vous avez reçue de Lui demeure en vous, et vous n'avez pas besoin que quelqu'un vous enseigne."

Quand nous parlons de l'onction, quelle est la première chose qui vous vient à l'esprit ? Pour beaucoup de gens, l'onction signifie la puissance de faire tomber les gens pendant les prières. D'autres pensent à un orateur charismatique et éloquent. Oui, l'onction de Dieu sur quelqu'un peut se manifester par des gens qui tombent pendant les prières ; elle peut se manifester par une prédication éloquente et charismatique, mais l'onction est bien plus que cela. 

L'onction est une revêtement et une influence divines que Dieu place sur quelqu'un pour lui permettre de faire l'œuvre du ministère chrétien (Actes 1:8). C'est en fait la forte présence de Dieu sur quelqu'un qui manifeste la puissance et les vertus de Dieu dans divers actes et dons spirituels pour le service dans le royaume de Dieu. L'onction est aussi l'agent de l'effet puissant et de la manifestation du Saint-Esprit sur une personne. 

Chaque croyant a le Saint-Esprit, mais ce n'est pas automatique que chaque croyant manifeste l'onction. Vous pouvez regarder autour de vous et être d'accord avec moi. Voyez la différence dans les deux versets suivants. Luc 4: 1, 14 "Alors Jésus, étant rempli du Saint-Esprit, revint du Jourdain et fut conduit par l'Esprit dans le désert... 14 Puis Jésus retourna dans la puissance de l'Esprit en Galilée , et sa nouvelle se répandit dans toute la région environnante." (Luc 4:1, 14). Entre le verset 4 et le verset 14, il y a eu une expérience de prière, de jeûne et de tentation dans le désert. Lorsque Jésus revint du désert, la différence était claire. Il est revenu dans la puissance du Saint-Esprit. C'est ça l'onction. Vous pouvez voir les effets dans les versets qui suivent et le reste de Son ministère. 

L'onction pour le service du Royaume vient de Dieu et l'une de ses principales manifestations est d'enseigner aux croyants ce qui est juste, en les conduisant vers la vérité. Premièrement, cela aide le croyant à discerner ce qui est vrai de ce qui est faux. Dans Jean 2, 20 et 27, Jean nous dit: Mais vous avez une onction du Saint, et vous savez toutes choses. Mais l'onction que vous avez reçue de Lui demeure en vous, et vous n'avez besoin que personne vous enseigner; mais comme la même onction vous enseigne toutes choses, et est vraie, et n'est pas un mensonge, et comme elle vous a enseigné, vous demeurerez en Lui.

Ainsi, quiconque prétend être oint parce qu'il prêche avec tant d'éloquence, mais opère dans le mensonge, n'a pas la véritable onction de Dieu. Les effets de la véritable onction de Dieu sont d'amener ses porteurs à comprendre la parole et à opérer dans sa vérité. 

Quand Jésus promettait le Saint-Esprit, Il a dit : « Je vous ai dit ces choses en étant présent avec vous. Mais le consolateur, le Saint-Esprit, que le Père enverra en mon nom, vous enseignera toutes choses et vous rappellera tout ce que je vous ai dit." (Jean 14:25-26). L'onction enseigne et guide dans la vérité, nous verrons d'autres effets demain. Priez le Seigneur afin que l'onction vous enseigne et vous conduise dans la vérité.
