John 4:28‭-‬29

"The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”"

The Spirit of God in every believer is the Spirit of missions and evangelism. He leads us to always desire to step out and to help the lost get saved. Another mark of True spirituality in Christ is 

6. The burden to reach out to the lost.

When someone truly encounters Christ, there is an urge to share with others what we have just experienced. Such was the case with a number a persons in the Bible. 

Example Nº 1:

The Samaritan woman did not wait for Jesus to tell her to go call the people of her city, no! She left by herself after the encounter and understanding of who was talking with her, the Christ. The Bible says, "The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?””

(John 4:28‭-‬29). 

We know from the text that she was claiming spirituality. You know how religious people can make notice about their faith. These are her statements, "The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”... The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”"

(John 4:19‭-‬20‭, ‬25). It was an attempt to send Jesus away, trying to say that she is also spiritual. 

Untill she encountered Christ, she never had the courage to face the crowd. She was not free from fear, guilt and shame. She was just a religious woman with religious knowledge about the place of worship and about the coming Christ. Christ was there before her and she did not know it. 

So it is with many people today; they claim to be worshippers of God, yet  they can't really tell who Jesus is and talkless of inviting someone to come meet the Christ they claim they know. They live in fear, shame and guilt. You must deepen your knowledge of Christ and seek to share with others. 

Example Nº 2:

Andrew and Philip in John 1:40-45. When Andrew encountered Christ, he looked for Peter his brother and Philip looked for Nathaniel, probably his friend. How many brothers and friends have you invited to Christ? 

When one finds Christ, it is an excitement, a joy, a privilege and we want to share with others. Tomorrow is Sunday, invite someone to church. Take someone along. Pay their transport. Offer them a track, or a Bible. That is a normal reaction when we truly know Christ.

Jean 4 :28-29

« La femme laissa alors sa cruche d'eau, partit pour la ville et dit aux hommes : Venez voir un homme qui m'a raconté tout ce que j'ai fait. N'est-ce pas le Christ ? »

L'Esprit de Dieu dans chaque croyant est l'Esprit de missions et d'évangélisation. Il nous amène à toujours désirer sortir et aider ceux qui sont perdus à être sauver. Une autre marque de la vraie spiritualité en Christ est 

6. Le fardeau d'atteindre les perdus.

Quand quelqu’un rencontre réellement le Christ, il ressent un besoin urgent de partager avec les autres ce que nous venons de vivre. Tel était le cas de plusieurs personnes dans la Bible. 

Exemple Nº 1: 

La Samaritaine n'a pas attendu que Jésus lui dise d'aller appeler les gens de sa ville, non ! Elle est partie d'elle même après avoir rencontré et compris qui lui parlait, le Christ. La Bible dit : « La femme laissa alors sa cruche d'eau, se dirigea vers la ville et dit aux hommes : « Venez voir un homme qui m'a dit tout ce que j'ai fait. Serait-ce le Christ ?" »  (Jean 4 :28-29). 

Nous savons par le texte qu'elle revendiquait sa spiritualité. Vous savez comment les personnes religieuses peuvent faire connaître qu'elles on la foi. Voici ses déclarations : « La femme lui dit : « Seigneur, je vois que tu es un prophète. Nos pères ont adoré sur cette montagne, et vous, les Juifs, dites qu'à Jérusalem est le lieu où il faut adorer. »... La femme lui dit : « Je sais que le Messie vient » (qui est appelé Christ). « Quand il viendra, il nous dira toutes choses. » (Jean 4 : 19-20, 25). C’était une tentative de renvoyer Jésus, en essayant de dire qu’elle est aussi spirituelle. Jusqu'à ce qu'elle rencontre le Christ, elle n'a jamais eu le courage d'affronter la foule. Elle n’était pas exempte de peur, de culpabilité et de honte. Elle n’était qu’une femme religieuse possédant des connaissances religieuses sur le lieu de culte et sur la venue du Christ. Le Christ était là devant elle et elle ne le savait pas. 

Il en est de même pour beaucoup de gens aujourd’hui ; ils prétendent être des adorateurs de Dieu, mais ils ne peuvent pas vraiment dire qui est Jésus et ne parlons même pas d'inviter quelqu'un à venir rencontrer le Christ qu'ils prétendent connaître. Ils vivent dans la peur, la honte et la culpabilité. Vous devez approfondir votre connaissance du Christ et chercher à la partager avec les autres.

Exemple N°2:

André et Philippe dans Jean 1 : 40-45. Lorsqu'André rencontra Christ, il chercha Pierre, son frère, et Philippe chercha Nathaniel, probablement son ami. Combien de frères et d’amis avez-vous invités à Christ ? 

Quand on trouve le Christ, c'est une excitation, une joie, un privilège et on a envie de le partager avec les autres. Demain c'est dimanche, invitez quelqu'un à l'église. Emmenez quelqu'un avec vous. Payer leur transport. Offrez-leur une traité ou une Bible. C’est une réaction normale lorsque nous connaissons vraiment Christ.
