God has not Forgotten You (Part Three) / Dieu ne t'a pas Oublié (Troisième Partie)

Isaiah 9:3 

"You have multiplied the nation and increased its joy; They rejoice before You according to the joy of harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil."

God has a plan of peace for all the nations of the earth. But to reach out to the nations, He selected and began working with one nation, Israel. Other nations felt rejected by God and mocked for serving idols by the Israelites. However, God did not sightline the other nation. He promised to Abraham, 

"I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3).

Our passage speaks of a time when Israel will experience peace and joy. God will not abandon them forever.  Isaiah says,

"You have multiplied the nation and increased its joy; They rejoice before You according to the joy of harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil."

Of course, some of this occurred when God defeated Assyria and delivered Jerusalem (Isaiah 37). But the ultimate fulfillment is still future. At that time,  all military material will be destroyed (9:5) because the nations will not learn war any more (2:4).

Isaiah looks forward to a time in the future when the Messiah will be born.  

Isaiah 9:6 declared both the humanity ("A Child is born") and the deity ("A Son is given") of the Lord Jesus Christ. The prophet then leaps ahead to the Kingdom Age when Messiah will reign in righteousness and justice from David's throne. God had promised David that his dynasty and throne would be established forever (2 Sam 7:16), and this is fulfilled literally in Jesus Christ (Luke 1:32-33; Zech 9:9), who will one day reign from Jerusalem. This kingdom is called "the Millennium," which means "one thousand years." The phrase is used six times in Rev 20. How shall be His Kingdom?

His own Kingdom shall know no end and know no boundary. Isaiah described that: 

"Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah 9:7).

Beloved, that Kingdom is already here and those whose hearts are opened to receive Jesus are received in the Kingdom. It is only in the Kingdom that we have the foretaste of peace and joy. 

His kingdom is expanding everyday through the preaching of the Gospel and men are flooding in. If you are in the Kingdom, you are entitled to joy and peace. And the king is concerned about your well-being. Communicate with your king daily and let Him know your expectations. And watch how He helps you.

Ésaïe 9:3 

"Tu as multiplié la nation et augmenté sa joie ; Ils se réjouissent devant toi selon la joie de la moisson, comme les hommes se réjouissent lorsqu'ils partagent le butin." 

Dieu a un plan de paix pour toutes les nations de la terre. Mais pour atteindre les nations, Il a sélectionné et commencé à travailler avec une nation, Israël. D’autres nations se sont senties rejetées par Dieu et moquées par les Israélites parce qu’elles servaient des idoles. Cependant, Dieu n’a pas détourné son attention des autres nations. Il a promis à Abraham,

 "Je bénirai ceux qui te béniront, et je maudirai celui qui te maudira; et en toi toutes les familles de la terre seront bénies." (Genèse 12 : 3). 

Notre passage parle d’une époque où Israël connaîtra la paix et la joie. Dieu ne les abandonnera pas pour toujours. Esaïe dit : 

"Tu as multiplié la nation et augmenté sa joie ; ils se réjouissent devant toi selon la joie de la moisson, comme les hommes se réjouissent lorsqu'ils partagent le butin." 

Bien sûr, cela s’est produit en partie lorsque Dieu a vaincu l’Assyrie et délivré Jérusalem (Ésaïe 37). Mais l’accomplissement ultime était encore futur. A ce moment-là, tout le matériel militaire sera détruit (9 : 5) car les nations n’apprendront plus la guerre (2 : 4). 

Esaïe anticipait avec impatience le moment futur où le Messie naîtra. Ésaïe 9 :6 déclare à la fois l’humanité (« Un enfant est né ») et la divinité (« Un fils est donné ») du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. 

Le prophète passe ensuite à l'ère du Royaume, lorsque le Messie régnera dans la justice et la justice depuis le trône de David. Dieu avait promis à David que sa dynastie et son trône seraient établis pour toujours (2 Sam 7 :16), et cela s'accomplit littéralement en Jésus-Christ (Luc 1 :32-33 ; Za 9 :9), qui régnera un jour depuis Jérusalem. Ce royaume est appelé « le Millénium », ce qui signifie « mille ans ». 

L’expression est utilisée six fois dans Apocalypse 20. Comment sera son royaume ? Son propre Royaume ne connaîtra ni fin ni frontière. Esaïe a décrit ainsi : 

"Il n'y aura pas de fin à l'accroissement de son gouvernement et de sa paix, sur le trône de David et sur son royaume, pour l'ordonner et l'établir avec jugement et justice. À partir de ce moment-là, même pour toujours. Le zèle du Seigneur de les hôtes effectueront cela. " (Ésaïe 9 : 7). 

Bien-aimés, ce Royaume est déjà là et ceux dont le cœur est ouvert pour recevoir Jésus sont reçus dans le Royaume. C'est seulement dans le Royaume que nous avons un avant-goût de paix et de joie. Son royaume s'étend chaque jour grâce à la prédication de l'Évangile et les hommes affluent. Si vous êtes dans le Royaume, vous avez droit à la joie et à la paix. Et aussi, le roi se soucie de votre bien-être. Communiquez quotidiennement avec votre roi et faites-lui part de vos attentes. Et voyez comment Il vous aide.
