‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭16:3‬ 

“Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering."

Today our focus of the image of Jesus Christ is in the book of Leviticus. There are several prophetic pictures of Jesus Christ in Leviticus, but let's focus on the High Priest and the Scapegoat. 

Aaron was the High Priest and He fulfilled this duty with the help of his sons. The Lord instructed Moses to tell Aaron in ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭16:3‬-19 ‭

"“Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering. [5] And he shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats as a sin offering, and one ram as a burnt offering. [6] “Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house. [7] He shall take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. [8] Then Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat. [9] And Aaron shall bring the goat on which the Lord’s lot fell, and offer it as a sin offering. [10] But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, and to let it go as the scapegoat into the wilderness."

This was the sacrifice Aaron was to make for Himself and for the people so that God will be appeased and He will continue to dwell with the people and bless them. Unfortunately, these sacrifices were not perfect and effective in atoning the sins of man and restoring lives. 

Look at these verses, ‭‭‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:

"[1] For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. [4] For it  is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. 11] And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. [12] But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, [14] For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified."

Jesus Christ, the Sovereign High Priest, presented a better and eternal sacrifice for our sins. He is not only our the Scapegoat for our sins, but also the High Priest who represents us before the Father. 

Friends, be comforted, He has made a perfect atonement for your sins. Live on with a holy and clear conscience. Praise the Lord!

Lévitique 16:3

« Ainsi Aaron entrera dans le Lieu Saint : avec le sang d'un jeune taureau en sacrifice pour le péché et d'un bélier en holocauste. » 

Aujourd’hui, notre attention sur l’image de Jésus-Christ se trouve dans le livre du Lévitique. Il existe plusieurs images prophétiques de Jésus-Christ dans le livre de Lévitique, mais concentrons-nous sur le Souverain Sacrificateur et le Bouc émissaire. 

Aaron était le Grand Prêtre et il accomplissait ce devoir avec l'aide de ses fils. Dieu avait demandé à Moïse de le dire à Aaron dans Lévitique 16 : 3-19 « Ainsi Aaron entrera dans le Lieu Saint : avec le sang d'un jeune taureau en sacrifice pour le péché, et d'un bélier en holocauste. [5] Et il prendra de la congrégation des enfants d'Israël deux enfants des boucs en sacrifice d'expiation, et un bélier en holocauste. [6] Aaron offrira le taureau en sacrifice d'expiation, qui est pour lui, et fera l'expiation pour lui et pour sa maison. [7] Il fera l'expiation pour lui et pour sa maison. prends les deux boucs et présente-les devant l'Éternel, à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation. [8] Puis Aaron tirera au sort les deux boucs : un sort pour l'Éternel et l'autre pour le bouc émissaire. [9] Et Aaron Il amènera le bouc sur lequel est tombé le sort de l'Éternel et l'offrira en sacrifice d'expiation. laissez-le partir comme bouc émissaire dans le désert. » 

C’était le sacrifice qu’Aaron devait faire pour lui-même et pour le peuple afin que Dieu soit apaisé et qu’il continue à demeurer avec le peuple et à le bénir. Malheureusement, ces sacrifices n’étaient pas parfaits et efficaces pour expier les péchés de l’homme et restaurer les vies.

Regardez ces versets, Hébreux 10 : 

« [1] Car la loi, ayant l'ombre des bonnes choses à venir, et non l'image même des choses, ne pourra jamais avec ces mêmes sacrifices, qu'elles offrent continuellement d'année en année, rendre parfaits ceux qui s'en approchent. [ 4] Car il n'est pas possible que le sang des taureaux et des boucs puisse ôter les péchés. 11] Et chaque sacrificateur est debout, faisant chaque jour le ministère et offrant à plusieurs reprises les mêmes sacrifices, qui ne peuvent jamais ôter les péchés. [12] Mais cet homme, après lui, Il avait offert pour toujours un seul sacrifice pour les péchés, il s'est assis à la droite de Dieu, [14] car par une seule offrande il a rendu parfait pour toujours ceux qui sont sanctifiés. » 

Jésus-Christ, le Souverain Grand Prêtre, a présenté un sacrifice meilleur et éternel pour nos péchés. Il est non seulement notre bouc émissaire pour nos péchés, mais aussi le Souverain Sacrificateur qui nous représente devant le Père. Mes amis, soyez réconfortés, Il a fait une expiation parfaite pour vos péchés. Vivez avec une conscience sainte et claire.
