Joshua 10:12-13
"Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” [13] So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day."
What a wonderful exploit was done there by a man! Joshua spoke to the sub and the moon to stand still and it was done. We know in reality that it is the earth that rotates around the sun. That means that, the earth stood still for a whole day. Can you imagine that? And the Bible adds,
"And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel." (Joshua 10:14).
Beloved, Joshua was not an angel. He was a man like you and me. Joshua was the servant of Moses. He was the servant of Moses. He used to follow Moses into the Tabernacle. In Exodus 33:11, we have this account:
"So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle." That is the man we are talking about. Look at the exploits God used him to accomplished. He led the Israelites to cross the Jordan River. He led them to enter Jericho when God pulled down its walls. He led them to possess Canaan Land. It is reported,
"For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day." (Joshua 23:9).
The only special thing about Joshua is this,
"Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses." (Deuteronomy 34:9).
Friends, if God finds a dedicated man or woman who will dare to believe Him like Joshua, God will use the person to accomplish great works. You can be that man or that woman. It takes just discipline in prayer, seeking the face of God and following His instructions. Can you be that person with an ordinary status that God will use to accomplish extraordinary works? You can become that person today. Make yourself available.

Josué 10:12-13
"Puis Josué parla à l'Éternel, le jour où l'Éternel livra les Amoréens devant les enfants d'Israël, et il dit devant Israël : « Soleil, tiens-toi sur Gabaon, et la Lune, dans la vallée d'Aijalon. [13] Ainsi le soleil s'arrêta, et la lune s'arrêta, jusqu'à ce que le peuple se venge de ses ennemis. Ceci n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre de Jasher ? Ainsi le soleil s'arrêta au milieu du ciel et ne se hâta pas de s'en aller. pendant environ une journée entière. "
Quel merveilleux exploit avait été réalisé là par un homme ce jour là ! Joshua avait demandé au soleil et à la lune de rester immobiles et ce fut fait. On sait en réalité que c'est la terre qui tourne autour du soleil. Cela signifie que la terre est restée immobile pendant une journée entière. Pouvez-vous imaginer ça? Et la Bible ajoute : "Et il n'y a pas eu de jour comme celui-là, avant ou après, où l'Éternel a écouté la voix d'un homme; car l'Éternel a combattu pour Israël." (Josué 10:14).
Bien-aimé, Josué n’était pas un ange. C'était un homme comme vous et moi. Josué était le serviteur de Moïse. Il avait l'habitude de suivre Moïse dans le Tabernacle. Dans Exode 33 : 11, nous avons ce récit :
"L'Éternel parla donc à Moïse face à face, comme un homme parle à son ami. Et il retournait au camp, mais son serviteur Josué, fils de Noun, un jeune homme, ne quitta pas le tabernacle. "
C'est de cet homme dont nous parlons. Regardez les exploits que Dieu l’a utilisé pour accomplir.
Il conduisit les Israélites à traverser le Jourdain. Il les a conduits à entrer à Jéricho lorsque Dieu a démoli ses murs. Il les conduisit à posséder le pays de Canaan. Il est rapporté,
"Car l'Éternel a chassé devant vous des nations grandes et fortes; mais quant à vous, personne n'a pu vous résister jusqu'à ce jour." (Josué 23:9).
La seule chose spéciale à propos de Josué était la suivante :
"Or Josué, fils de Noun, était rempli de l'esprit de sagesse, car Moïse avait imposé les mains sur lui. Les enfants d'Israël l'écoutèrent et firent ce que l'Éternel avait commandé à Moïse." (Deutéronome 34 : 9).
Mes amis, si Dieu trouve un homme ou une femme dévoué(e) qui osera croire en lui comme Josué, Dieu utilisera cette personne pour accomplir de grandes œuvres. Vous pouvez être cet homme ou cette femme. Il faut juste de la discipline dans la prière, cherchant la face de Dieu et suivre ses instructions. Pouvez-vous être cette personne au statut ordinaire que Dieu utilisera pour accomplir des œuvres extraordinaires ? Vous pouvez devenir cette personne aujourd’hui. Soyez disponible.
