Joel 2:28
"“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions."
One of the major works of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life is to help him/her to develop the right vision of life. In our opening verse, the prophet Joel announces a time in the future when God shall pour His Spirit upon all flesh. This took place the Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, we are in that era of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, many believers go through their journey in life without truly experiencing the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Three major things will happen when the Holy Spirit is poured:
1. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
2. Your old men shall dream dreams,
3. Your young men shall see visions.
All these three outcomes of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit have to do with seeing. Before you prophesy, you must hear, understand or see. Dreams and visions also have to do with seeing.
Here, the prophet was not talking about dreams or visions of the night that one receives when he is sleeping. Though that is not excluded, but he was talking about perceiving, seeing and receiving things in the spirit realm. Connecting with God via the Holy Spirit to know the things of God. So, our partnership with the Person of the Holy Spirit is very fundamental and imperative if we are develop a divine and better vision in life. Now that we are a disciples of Jesus, we must learn to see and do things from God's perspectives.
And we cannot understand the ways of God without the help of the Holy Spirit. Let's examine this text,
1 Corinthians 2: :9-12:
"But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” [10] But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. [11] For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. [12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God."
Are you seeing the works of the Holy Spirit in this passage? What can we pick out from here?
1. There are things hidden to human senses and abilities. No amount of human efforts can unveil them to you.
2. There are things that only the Spirit of God can reveal them to man.
3. No man can truly know and understand the things of God without the help of the Holy Spirit. It is clearly stated in V14, the natural or sinful man does not receive (understand, perceive, or experience) the things of God because they are foolishness to him.
4. Children of God can know the things of God through the help of the Holy Spirit. God wants you understand and receive what He has freely given you. Only the Spirit of God can teach, guide and reveal the things of God to you.
Pray this morning that the ministry of the Holy Spirit will be evident in your life thereby empowering you to see visions and understanding the things of God.

"Et il arrivera ensuite que je répandrai mon Esprit sur toute chair; vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront, vos vieillards auront des songes, vos jeunes gens je verrai des visions."
L'une des œuvres majeures du Saint-Esprit dans la vie d'un croyant est de l'aider à développer une bonne vision de la vie. Dans notre verset d’ouverture, le prophète Joël annonce un temps dans le futur où Dieu déversera son Esprit sur toute chair. Cela a eu lieu à la Pentecôte après la résurrection de Jésus-Christ. Nous sommes donc dans cette époque d’effusion du Saint-Esprit. Malheureusement, de nombreux croyants traversent leur chemin de vie sans vraiment expérimenter le ministère du Saint-Esprit dans leur vie. Trois choses majeures se produiront lorsque le Saint-Esprit sera déversé :
1. Vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront,
2. Vos vieillards auront des rêves,
3. Vos jeunes gens auront des visions.
Ces trois résultats de l’effusion du Saint-Esprit ont à voir avec la vision. Avant de prophétiser, vous devez entendre, comprendre ou voir. Les rêves et les visions ont aussi à voir avec la vision. Ici, le prophète ne parlait pas des rêves ou des visions de la nuit que l'on reçoit lorsqu'on dort. Bien que cela ne soit pas exclu, il parlait de percevoir, de voir et de recevoir des choses dans le domaine spirituel. Se connecter à Dieu via le Saint-Esprit pour connaître les choses de Dieu. Ainsi, notre partenariat avec la Personne du Saint-Esprit est très fondamental et impératif si nous voulons développer une vision divine et meilleure de la vie.
Maintenant que nous sommes disciples de Jésus, nous devons apprendre à voir et à faire les choses du point de vue de Dieu. Et nous ne pouvons pas comprendre les voies de Dieu sans l’aide du Saint-Esprit. Examinons ce texte, 1 Corinthiens 2 : 9-12 :
"Mais comme il est écrit : "L'oeil n'a pas vu, ni l'oreille n'a entendu, Et ne sont pas entrées dans le cœur de l'homme les choses que Dieu a préparées pour ceux qui l'aiment." [10] Mais Dieu nous les a révélées par son Esprit, car l'Esprit sonde toutes choses, même les choses profondes de Dieu. [11] Car aucun homme ne connaît les choses d'un homme, sinon l'esprit de l'homme qui est dans Lui ? De même, personne ne connaît les choses de Dieu, si ce n'est l'Esprit de Dieu. [12] Or, nous avons reçu, non pas l'esprit du monde, mais l'Esprit qui vient de Dieu, afin que nous puissions connaître les choses qui ont été librement données. donné par Dieu."
Voyez-vous les œuvres du Saint-Esprit dans ce passage ? Que pouvons-nous retenir d’ici ? 1. Il y a des choses cachées aux sens et aux capacités humaines. Aucun effort humain ne peut vous les dévoiler.
2. Il y a des choses que seul l'Esprit de Dieu peut révéler à l'homme.
3. Aucun homme ne peut vraiment connaître et comprendre les choses de Dieu sans l’aide du Saint-Esprit. Il est clairement indiqué dans le V14 que l'homme naturel ou pécheur ne reçoit pas (ne comprend pas, ne perçoit pas ou n'expérimente pas) les choses de Dieu parce qu'elles sont une folie pour lui.
4. Les enfants de Dieu peuvent connaître les choses de Dieu grâce à l’aide du Saint-Esprit. Dieu veut que vous compreniez et receviez ce qu’Il vous a donné gratuitement. Seul l’Esprit de Dieu peut vous enseigner, vous guider et vous révéler les choses de Dieu.
Priez ce matin pour que le ministère du Saint-Esprit soit évident dans votre vie, vous permettant ainsi d'avoir des visions et de comprendre les choses de Dieu.
