Discern and Follow the Voice of Your Chief Shepherd / Discernez et suivez la voix de votre Chef Berger

‭‭John 10:4

"And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."

Unlike other religions, Christianity is founded on a living, practical and love relationship with God. That relationship is made possible and it is established through: 

1. The Love of God 

2. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ

3. And the Fellowship or communication of the Holy Spirit. 

Christianity is not a set of rules, DOs and DON'Ts. No! It is a Father-sons relationship. It is a beautiful family with God as Father. Jesus was clear about it in John 10 when He used the imagery of a the relationship between the shepherd and the sheep. 

In ancient days, and may be it still exits in some parts of the world, shepherds developed a vital relationship with their sheep so much that the later could recognize his voice. He could even call his sheep by name. 

Actually the shepherds will come in the morning at the sheep house where many other sheep are gathered, not only his. "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out." (John‭‭10:3). Then another shepherd will come and call his own sheep as well. And the next verse says,

"And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."

Beloved, one of the major blessings of the Christian life which is also a big challenges today, is the ability to hear the voice of our Chief Shepherd and to follow Him. It is not only a right, but it is also a duty. Once we get born again, we have the capacity and ability to hear the voice our Master. You can hear the voice of God amiss many voices. But unfortunately today, many have not learned and have not been taught to discern the voice of Jesus. Consequently, they follow other shepherds and they get lost. 

In the book and workbook Experiencing God, Henry Blackaby and Claude King reveal that, "If you have a problem hearing the voice of God, then you have a problem at the center of your Christian life." Unfortunately, that is true. Many have given up their ability to hear God and are only depending on a "Man of God", their prophet to tell them what God is saying. It ought not to be so. It not only encourages laziness, but also manipulations and deceptions in the body of Christ.

How can someone be a Christian and not be able to hear God for himself and it doesn't border him or her.

Look at these verses.

Verse 14, 26-28 "I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. [26] But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.  [27] My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  [28] And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."

The dryness, emptiness, confusions, lost and frustrations of many Christians today is simply a proof that they have lost the voice of their Chief Shepherd. I pray for anyone with the problem of hearing and discerning the voice of God, be healed in the name of Jesus. Let your spirit perceive, apprehend, and catch the signals of your Master's voice and receive grace to follow in Jesus name.

"Et quand il fait sortir ses propres brebis, il marche devant elles ; et les brebis le suivent, car elles connaissent sa voix."

Contrairement aux autres religions, le christianisme est fondé sur une relation vivante, pratique et d'amour avec Dieu. Cette relation est rendue possible et s’établit à travers : 

1. L'amour de Dieu 

2. La grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ 

3. Et la communion ou communication du Saint-Esprit. 

Le christianisme n'est pas un ensemble de règles, de choses à faire et à ne pas faire. Non! C'est une relation Père-fils. C'est une belle famille avec Dieu comme Père. Jésus l'a clairement dit dans Jean 10 lorsqu'il a utilisé l'imagerie de la relation entre le berger et la brebis. 

Dans les temps anciens, et cela existe peut-être encore dans certaines parties du monde, les bergers développaient une relation vitale avec leurs brebis, à tel point que ces derniers pouvaient reconnaître sa voix. Il pouvait même appeler ses brebis par leur nom. En effet, les bergers viendront le matin à la bergerie où sont rassemblées de nombreuses autres brebis, pas seulement les siennes. "Le portier lui ouvre, et les brebis entendent sa voix ; il appelle ses propres brebis par leur nom et les fait sortir." (Jean 10 : 3). Puis un autre berger vient et appelle ses propres brebis aussi. Et le verset suivant dit : 

"Et quand il fait sortir ses propres brebis, il les précède ; et les brebis le suivent, car elles connaissent sa voix."

Bien-aimés, l’une des bénédictions majeures de la vie chrétienne, qui constitue aussi un grand défi aujourd’hui, c'est la capacité d’entendre la voix de notre Grand Pasteur et de Le suivre. Ce n’est pas seulement un droit, mais c’est aussi un devoir. Une fois nés de nouveau, nous avons la capacité et l’aptitude d’entendre la voix de notre Maître. Vous pouvez entendre la voix de Dieu à travers de nombreuses voix. Mais malheureusement, aujourd’hui, beaucoup n’ont pas appris et n’ont pas été enseigné à discerner la voix de Jésus. Par conséquent, ils suivent d’autres bergers et se perdent. 

Dans le livre et cahier d'exercices Comment Expérimenter Dieu, Henry Blackaby et Claude King révèlent que « Si vous avez du mal à entendre la voix de Dieu, alors vous avez un problème au centre de votre vie chrétienne. » Malheureusement, c'est vrai. Beaucoup ont renoncé à leur capacité d'entendre Dieu et ne dépendent que d'un "Homme de Dieu", leur prophète, pour leur dire ce que Dieu dit. Il ne devrait pas en être ainsi. Cela encourage non seulement la paresse, mais aussi les manipulations et les tromperies dans le corps du Christ. 

Comment quelqu'un peut-il être chrétien et ne pas être capable d'entendre Dieu par lui-même sans que cela ne le derrange. Regardez ces versets. Versets 14, 26-28 "Je suis le bon berger; je connais mes brebis, et je suis connu des miennes. [26] Mais vous ne croyez pas, parce que vous n'êtes pas de mes brebis, comme je vous l'ai dit. [27] Mes brebis entendent ma voix, et je les connais, et elles me suivent. [28] Et je leur donne la vie éternelle, et elles ne périront jamais, et personne ne les arrachera de ma main.»

La sécheresse spirituelle, le vide, la confusion, l'égarrement et les frustrations de nombreux chrétiens d'aujourd'hui sont simplement la preuve qu'ils ont perdu la voix de leur chef berger. Je prie pour que toute personne ayant ce problème d'entendre et de discerner la voix de Dieu soit guérie au nom de Jésus. Que votre esprit perçoive, appréhende et capte les signaux de la voix de votre Maître et recevez la grâce de suivre au nom de Jésus.
