Be Grateful to God / Soyez reconnaissant envers Dieu

Psalms 92:1-2

"It  is  good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; [2] To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night"

Today is not only a special because it is a new day, it is also a new week, new month and the beginning of the second half of the year. Welcome to July. 

Let's begin the month and this second part of the year with thanksgiving. Friends, think of people around you who have left this world. Some were timely, others were cut short in their pursuit, stopped by death in an accident, a sickness and other unfortunate conditions or circumstances. If you are alive, give thanks. No matter what may not be working yet around you and in you, the gift of life is better than any other thing. Jesus said,

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? " (Matthew 6:25 NKJV‬). 

Friends, our opening passage says, ‭ 

"It  is  good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; [2] To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night"

Think of all that God has done in and around you for the past six months, spend some minutes this morning to thank Him. 

Why is the psalmist thanking God in this song for the Sabbath day? 

‭Verses 4 to 6 say:

"For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. [5] O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. [6] A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this."

Friends, only a senseless man who is still alive will keep complaining about what he does not have and forget to see the mighty works of God in his life or around him. Someone yesterday was sharing with me how his mother who was operated upon almost past on because of an error of nurse. If it had not been the Lord who sustained her through the night in a struggling breathing condition. Can you imagine that? 

I love ‭Psalms 124, verses 1-3, 6-8 say:

"If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say— [2] “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us, [3] Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; [6] Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth. [7] Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. [8] Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth."

Your help is not your smartness, not your money, not your connections, but the Lord. Let's spend some times to thank God this day. This platform is open today for that. Write down five to ten things for which you are thanking God for the past first semester. Be brief and concise. The rest of us shall all join you to thank God. Hallelujah!!!

Psaumes 92 : 1-2

 «Il est bon de rendre grâce au Seigneur, Et de chanter ton nom, ô Très-Haut; [2] De déclarer ta bonté le matin, Et chaque nuit ta fidélité»

Aujourd’hui n’est pas seulement spécial car c’est un nouveau jour, c’est aussi une nouvelle semaine, un nouveau mois et le début de la seconde moitié de l’année. Bienvenue en Juillet. Commençons le mois et cette deuxième partie de l'année par des actions de grâce. 

Mes amis, pensez aux personnes autour de vous qui ont quitté ce monde. Certains sont partis à leur temps, d'autres ont été interrompus dans leur poursuite, arrêtés par la mort dans un accident, une maladie ou d'autres conditions ou circonstances malheureuses. Si vous êtes en vie, remerciez Dieu. Peu importe ce qui ne fonctionne pas encore autour de vous et en vous, le don de la vie est mieux que toute autre chose. Jésus a dit, 

«C'est pourquoi je vous le dis, ne vous inquiétez pas de votre vie, de ce que vous mangerez ou de ce que vous boirez ; ni de votre corps, de ce que vous vêtirez. La vie n'est-elle pas plus que la nourriture et le corps plus que le vêtement ?» (Matthieu 6:25 NKJV). 

Mon Ami, notre passage d'ouverture dit : 

«Il est bon de rendre grâce au Seigneur, Et de chanter ton nom, ô Très-Haut; [2] De déclarer ta bonté le matin, Et chaque nuit ta fidélité»

Pensez à tout ce que Dieu a fait en vous et autour de vous au cours des six derniers mois, prenez quelques minutes ce matin pour Le remercier. 

Pourquoi le psalmiste remercie-t-il Dieu dans ce chant du jour du sabbat ? Les versets 4 à 6 disent : 

«Car Toi, Seigneur, tu m'as réjoui par Ton oeuvre; je triompherai dans les oeuvres de Tes mains. [5] O Seigneur, que tes oeuvres sont grandes! Tes pensées sont très profondes. [6] Seul un homme insensé ne le sais pas, et un imbécile ne comprend pas cela non plus.»

Mes amis, seul un homme insensé qui est encore en vie continuera à se plaindre de ce qu'il n'a pas et oubliera de voir les puissantes œuvres de Dieu dans sa vie ou autour de lui. Je sais que tu n'es pas insensé. 

Hier quelqu'un me racontait comment sa mère qui avait été opérée était presque décédée à cause d'une erreur de l'infirmière. Si ce n'avait pas été le Seigneur qui l'avait soutenue toute la nuit malgré des difficultés respiratoires. Pouvez-vous imaginer ça?

J'aime les Psaumes 124, les versets 1-3, 6-8 disent : 

«Si l'Éternel n'avait pas été avec nous », qu'Israël dise maintenant : [2] « Si l'Éternel n'avait pas été avec nous, quand les hommes se sont soulevés contre nous, [3] alors ils nous auraient engloutis vivants, Quand leur colère s'est allumée contre nous ; [6] Béni soit le Seigneur, qui ne nous a pas livrés en proie à leurs dents. [7] Notre âme s'est échappée comme un oiseau du piège des oiseleurs ; Le piège est brisé et nous nous sommes échappés. [8] Notre aide est dans le nom du Seigneur, qui a fait le ciel et la terre.» 

Votre aide n'est pas votre intelligence, ni votre argent, ni vos relations, mais le Seigneur. Prenons quelques instants pour remercier Dieu aujourd'hui. Cette plateforme est ouverte aujourd'hui pour cela. Écrivez cinq à dix choses pour lesquelles vous remerciez Dieu au cours du premier semestre écoulé. Soyez bref et concis. Le reste d’entre nous se joindra tous à vous pour remercier Dieu. Alléluia!!!
