II Kings 7:1
"Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’"
When a prophetic word is declared, it must be fulfilled. The word that has gone out of the mouth of God shall not return to Him empty. It must accomplish the purpose for which it has been sent, because the word of God is spirit and life. God confirms or backs up the word He has declared through his servants. All you have to do is to believe it. The King Jehosaphat said in 2 Chronicles 20:20b:
"Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper."
Friend, learn to believe the word of God. Stand on and stand for the word of God.
In our text, Elisha the prophet of God gave a prophetic word,
"Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’"
It was a 24 hours prophetic word. You could ask, how was it going to be fulfilled? Beloved, God is not man that He should lie, neither the descendant of Adam that He will chnage what He has promised. So, the word must be fulfilled. We better hold unto God's word and stand by it.
There was an officer who doubted and contended with the words of Elisha.
"So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he (Elisha) said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” (2 Kings 7:2)
Friends, even when there seems to be no guarantee for the fulfilment of God's promise, just believe. Nobody could ever imagine whom God will use to fulfill the prophetic word and talk less of how He will do it. God decided to use four lepers at the Gates of Samaria
Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? [4] If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.” (2 Kings 7:3-4).
Friends, any person who shall make up his mind to believe and act on the word of God, though he/she may be ordinary and of no social status, God shall use him/her to accomplish extraordinary works.
The rest of the story is very spectacular. As they were walking down the road to the camp of the Syrians, the Syrians fled leaving behind all their goods and possessions. Why,
"For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!”" (2Kings 7:6).
And as the prophecy came to pass, the officer who doubted died in the process as the man of God said.
Friends, if you will dare to believe and act on what God is telling you, though you may not have a name, a post nor a social status, you will accomplish great things for God. His eyes move to and fro the earth, looking for someone who will believe Him. He will show Himself mighty in his life. May you be that one. Praise the Lord!

II Rois 7:1
"Alors Élisée dit : « Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel. Ainsi parle l'Éternel : « Demain, à cette heure-là, une mer de farine fine sera vendue pour un sicle, et deux mers d'orge pour un sicle, à la porte de Samarie. » .'"
Lorsqu’une parole prophétique est déclarée, elle doit s’accomplir. La parole qui est sortie de la bouche de Dieu ne lui reviendra pas vide. Elle doit accomplir le but pour lequel elle a été envoyée, car la parole de Dieu est esprit et vie. Dieu confirme ou étaye la parole qu'Il a déclarée par l'intermédiaire de ses serviteurs. Tout ce que vous avez à faire est d'y croire. Le roi Josaphat a dit dans 2 Chroniques 20 : 20b :
"Écoutez-moi, Juda et vous, habitants de Jérusalem : croyez au Seigneur votre Dieu, et vous serez établis ; croyez à ses prophètes, et vous prospérerez."
Mon ami, apprends à croire la parole de Dieu. Tenez-vous Sur la parole et croyez la parole de Dieu.
Dans notre texte, Élisée le prophète de Dieu a donné une parole prophétique :
"Alors Élisée dit : « Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel. Ainsi parle l'Éternel : « Demain, à cette heure-là, une mer de farine fine sera vendue pour un sicle, et deux mers d'orge pour un sicle, à la porte de Samarie. » .'"
C'était une parole prophétique de 24 heures chrono. Vous pourriez vous demander comment cela allait-il se réaliser ? Bien-aimé, Dieu n'est pas un homme pour qu'il mente, ni le descendant d'Adam pour qu'il change ce qu'il a promis. Ainsi, la parole doit s’accomplir. Nous ferions mieux de nous accrocher à la parole de Dieu et de nous y tenir.
Il y avait un officier qui doutait et contestait les paroles d'Élisée.
"Alors un officier sur lequel le roi s'appuyait répondit à l'homme de Dieu et dit: "Regarde, si le Seigneur faisait des fenêtres au ciel, cette chose pourrait-elle être?" Et il (Élisée) dit : « En effet, tu le verras de tes yeux, mais tu n’en mangeras pas. » (2 Rois 7 : 2)
Bien-aimés, même s'il semble n'y avoir aucune garantie quant à l'accomplissement de la promesse de Dieu, croyez simplement. Personne ne pouvait jamais imaginer qui Dieu utiliserait pour accomplir la parole prophétique et parler moins de la manière dont Il le ferait. Dieu a décidé d'utiliser quatre lépreux aux portes de Samarie
"Or il y avait quatre lépreux à l'entrée de la porte ; et ils se dirent entre eux : « Pourquoi restons-nous assis ici jusqu'à notre mort ? [4] Si nous disons : « Nous entrerons dans la ville », la famine est dans la ville et nous y mourrons. Et si nous restons assis ici, nous mourrons aussi. Maintenant donc, allons-y, livrons-nous à l'armée syrienne. S’ils nous maintiennent en vie, nous vivrons ; et s’ils nous tuent, nous mourrons seulement. » (2 Rois 7 : 3-4).
Écoutes, toute personne qui décide de croire et d'agir selon la parole de Dieu, même si elle est ordinaire et sans statut social, Dieu l'utilisera pour accomplir des œuvres extraordinaires. Le reste de l'histoire est très spectaculaire.
Alors qu'ils marchaient sur la route menant au camp des Syriens, les Syriens se sont enfuis, laissant derrière eux tous leurs biens et possessions. pourquoi
"Car l'Éternel avait fait entendre à l'armée des Syriens le bruit des chars et le bruit des chevaux, le bruit d'une grande armée; alors ils se dirent les uns aux autres: "Voici, le roi d'Israël a engagé contre nous le les rois des Hittites et les rois des Égyptiens pour nous attaquer!”" (2 Rois 7:6).
Et comme la prophétie s'est réalisée, l'officier qui doutait est mort dans le processus comme l'a dit l'homme de Dieu.
Mes amis, si vous osez croire et agir selon ce que Dieu vous dit, même si vous n'avez pas de nom, de poste ni de statut social, vous accomplirez de grandes choses pour Dieu. Ses yeux parcourent toute la terre à la recherche de quelqu'un qui croira en Lui. Il se montrera puissant dans sa vie. Puissiez-vous être celui-là. Louez le Seigneur !
