Encourage One Another With Spiritual Songs
Ephesians 5:19
"speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
The place of singing cannot be over emphasized in the body of Christ and in the lives of individual believers. Not only does singing of praises honour God directly, it also offers multiple benefits to believers. It is one of the spiritual exercises that strengthen our spirit and soul, and constitute a weapon against the kingdom of darkness.
Singing alone on its own has the potential to activate one's spirit. But now when we sing word-anointed songs, it is a spiritual sacrifice to God.
The author of Hebrews in Hebrews 13:15 says,
"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."
We know the Bible says in one of the Psalms that God inhabits the praises of His people. But now, when we sing in a congratulation, we encourage one another. Paul painted this picture in
Ephesians 5:18-20:
"And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ"
In the same way that preaching speaks the word to how hearts, singing does the same to our spirit and soul. The same is repeated in Colossians 3:16. Singing has the potential of opening the heavens and connecting us to the presence and Spirit of God. Here is an example.
In 2 Kings 3:15, Elisha requested for a musician's services in order to connect to the Spirit of God and hear the mind of God.
"But now bring me a musician." Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.""
In 1 Samuel 10:5-6, the same atmosphere provoked Saul to prophesy:
"After that you shall come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is. And it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying. [6] Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man."
The same event happened in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, during the ministration of the singers, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
What about Paul and Silas' singing time in Acts 16:25-26, the presence of God came down and set them free from their chains.
Friends, never undermine times of praise and worship in a service or at home, give yourselves to it and do it in spirit and truth. You will not miss the blessings.

Encouragez-vous les uns les autres avec des chants spirituels
Éphésiens 5:19
"s'adressant les uns aux autres par des psaumes, des hymnes et des chants spirituels, chantant et chantant dans votre cœur pour le Seigneur."
La place du chant ne peut être surestimée dans le corps du Christ et dans la vie personelles des croyants. Non seulement le chant des louanges honore Dieu directement, mais il offre également de multiples avantages aux croyants. C'est l'un des exercices spirituels qui renforcent notre esprit et notre âme et constituent une arme contre le royaume des ténèbres.
Chanter a le potentiel d’activer l’esprit. Mais maintenant, lorsque nous chantons des chants consacrés par la parole, c’est un sacrifice spirituel à Dieu.
L'auteur d'Hébreux dans Hébreux 13 :15 dit :
« C'est pourquoi, par lui, offrons continuellement à Dieu un sacrifice de louange, c'est-à-dire le fruit de nos lèvres, rendant grâces à son nom. »
Nous savons que la Bible dit dans l'un des Psaumes que Dieu siège au milieu des louanges de son peuple. Mais maintenant, lorsque nous chantons pour nous entretenir, nous nous encourageons mutuellement. Paul a peint ce tableau en
Éphésiens 5 : 18-20 :
"Et ne vous enivrez pas de vin, dans lequel se trouve la dissipation; mais soyez remplis de l'Esprit, 19 vous parlant les uns aux autres par des psaumes, des hymnes et des chants spirituels, chantant et chantant dans votre cœur au Seigneur, 20 rendant toujours grâces pour toutes choses à Dieu le Père au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ"
De la même manière que la prédication adresse la parole aux cœurs, le chant fait la même chose à notre esprit et à notre âme. La même idée se répète dans Colossiens 3:16. Chanter a le potentiel d’ouvrir les cieux et de nous connecter à la présence et à l’Esprit de Dieu. Voici un exemple.
Dans 2 Rois 3 :15, Élisée a demandé les services d'un musicien afin de se connecter à l'Esprit de Dieu et d'entendre la pensée de Dieu.
"Mais maintenant, amène-moi un musicien." Alors il arriva, pendant que le musicien jouait, que la main du Seigneur fut sur lui. "" Dans 1 Samuel 10 : 5-6, la même atmosphère poussa Saül à prophétiser :
"Après cela, vous arriverez à la colline de Dieu, où est la garnison des Philistins. Et quand vous y serez arrivé à la ville, vous rencontrerez un groupe de prophètes descendant du haut lieu avec un instrument à cordes, un tambourin, une flûte et une harpe devant eux ; et ils prophétiseront. 6 Alors l'Esprit du Seigneur viendra sur toi, et tu prophétiseras avec eux et tu seras transformé en un autre homme."
Le même événement s'est produit dans 2 Chroniques 5 : 13-14, pendant le ministère des chanteurs, la maison du Seigneur était remplie d'une nuée, et les prêtres ne pouvaient pas continuer à servir à cause de la nuée ; car la gloire du Seigneur remplissait la maison de Dieu.
Qu'en est-il du temps de chant de Paul et Silas dans Actes 16 :25-26, la présence de Dieu descendit et les libéra de leurs chaînes.
